ABOUT
Alphonso Reed
Alphonso Reed began his career at one of the leading international public relations and brand strategy agencies in the industry, Karla Otto. During his time at KO, he not only had the opportunity to work very closely with some of the top publicist and brands in the world, but he gained an extensive understanding of the luxury, fashion, and lifestyle business. His everyday duties included but not limited to assisting the logistic and press department on media placements and celebrity pulls for clients such as CELINE, Marni and Emilio Pucci.
After the tenure of his position was up, he left and went to KCD Worldwide. This opportunity gave him the chance to put into action what he had perviously learned. Two of his greatest accomplishments were being given complete freedom to coordinate Valentino’s virtual museum launch, press preview and after-party as well as working the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. No day was the same for him; he could be assisting editors during press previews or running around New York City working twelve different shows/events during fashion week. Most recently, Alphonso has held three different freelance positions before taking on a full time role as a public relations manager at Seventh House PR, which was a role that he kind of fell into.
Alphonso was responsible for handling all accessories and menswear clientele. He coordinated numerous projects from start to finish, secured partnerships, as well as served as the point person for all media needs. In the course of his career in the fashion industry, Alphonso has worked very closely with leading experts and has committed himself to giving his clients great service, while executing flawless media and digital strategies. He is currently a freelance publicist and creative consultant based in New York City.
